Hey there, I'm Marco.

Marco Zampolli

Industrial Product Designer

I am a curious observer by nature. What started as a childhood habit of "mentally disassembling" objects has evolved at Politecnico di Milano into an hybrid approach of both hands-on practise and team orchestration. I now see design as a multidisciplinary, interconnected universe where the Italian excellence of luxury craftsmanship can meet the functional necessity of democratic, accessible solutions.

My process is a balance of rigorous research and "scientific madness." Before starting a new project, I like to dive in a brand’s roots through a deep, long research, trying to understand how my product can innovate in that specific sector. I approach design systemically: sustainability and ergonomics are never "add-ons," but the very seeds of the project — whether I’m modeling clay for a bathroom system or testing a 1:1 chair prototype in my own room.

I find my creative fuel in the world beyond the studio. My transversal interests — from the persistence learned cycling to Santiago de Compostela to the lateral thinking of horror screenwriting — are essential tools for storytelling and building brand identities. What I love most about design is this unique opportunity to enrich a tangible project with one’s own humanity. It allows me to transform diverse perspectives into something real and meaningful that will be used by people, contributing something functional and authentic to the world.

I am currently exploring the boundaries of manufacturing. I’m currently focused on expanding my technical toolkit, especially with 3D printing, and I am eager to challenge myself with new materials like glass and metal. My goal is to transition into Integrated Product Design and Product Management, seeking international environments and professional opportunities where I can balance analytical rigor with bold, hands-on experimentation.
