Casa Ariete
Casa Ariete is an Interior Design concept for the hypothetical apartment of the italian singer Ariete. I made this project in highschool and it resembles my absolute first approach to design.

ROLE
Concept generation, space planning, FF&E selection, 3D modelling and visualization.
BRIEF
Design an apartment for a Festival di Sanremo participant, reflecting their style. The only restrictions are the surface area, set at 74 square meters, and the software to be used, Homestyler.
NOTES
This was an individual project I made in the last year of highschool attending an Interior Design extracurricular course.
Concept Generation
My Choice
My choice fell on Ariete, a singer-songwriter from Anzio. The first step of the project was to establish a connection between the artist and the overall aesthetic of the apartment, based on her musical style. After analyzing the singer's stage presence and lyrics, I decided to base the property's aesthetic on:

Japanese Aestethic
The stylistic identity of the Land of the Rising Sun marries perfectly with the personality of Ariete: direct, intense and without half measures, but at the same time balanced and eclectic.
More than Tradition
A modern counterpart to Japanese traditions not only serves to balance the home's style; this juxtaposition faithfully represents Ariete's versatility.
Cozy Style
Just like the singer's voice, the style of the apartment must be enveloping, expressive, personal, intimate.
Key Elements

Indoor Tree
A strong reference to nature and Japanese aesthetics. The tree is supported by a special soil base and a circular skylight that provides sunlight; these two elements represent a sort of balance between earth and air and are therefore the heart of the entire house, both for its central location and for what it represents.
Corner window
A gateway to the building's urban dimension, offering a sense of comfort and informality to the living room.
Green Wall
Together with the tree, it is the green heart of the home; a natural barrier that doesn't interrupt the spacious open space that characterizes the apartment, while still providing a certain amount of privacy to the sleeping area.

Industrial pillar
Used in synergy with the bookcase, it provides a contrast to the traditional softness of the wood.
Bookcase
Combined with the industrial hardness of iron, it forms a sort of airy and functional barrier that delineates a corridor.
Mural
A creative solution to fill the gap between the living room and bedroom, creating a sense of continuity between the two spaces, which once again evokes the idea of Japan in its early industrial phase, between tradition and the advent of modernity.
Identity
The apartment is designed for a maximum of two people, offering a modest size (74 square meters) yet great comfort and informality in pursuit of musical inspiration.
It is conceived as a place to find balance in the chaotic urban environment, the home eradicates some traditional concepts (framed doors, a TV in the living room, a large dining table) and embraces the more modern concept of a studio-apartment.
Floor Plan
With those ideas in mind, I modified the floorplan given to us by the professor and shaped the architecture of the flat on Homestyler. I was then ready to furnish the house, choosing the items from the software's catalogue.
